Thompson in South Carolina
27 June 2007I has the privilege today of attending a luncheon sponsored by the South Carolina Republican Convention. The luncheon was held in Columbia and the keynote speaker was Fred Dalton Thompson. When the opportunity to go to this presented itself, there was no chance I was going to pass it up.
Thompson spoke for about 25 minutes [...]

Conservative John McCain?
3 March 2007It’s been a little while since I wrote a purely political post and now it is time. I received an email today from Bobby Harrell, Speaker of the House in the South Carolina Legislature. He was enthusiastic over John McCain’s win in the Spartanburg straw poll on Thursday. It seems that as of Thursday even [...]

For a multiplicity of reasons, Americans simply do not support the [...]

Speaker Pelosi herself said more than a year ago that’s what she would do. Now, President Bush has basically admitted that he made a mistake in not sending enough troops to secure Iraq [...]

Surrender is not an Option
8 December 2006This from the executive summary of the Iraq Study Group Report. “Given the ability of Iran and Syria to influence events within Iraq and their interest in avoiding chaos in Iraq, the United States should try to engage them constructively.” So Hamilton, Baker, et. al., actually believe that Iran and Syria have an interest in [...]
