If you are traveling by air over the holiday this Cox & Forkum cartoon may resonate with you. We should be doing better than this and we’re not. Why? Because it’s better to offend, harass and inconvenience everyone rather than those most likely to actually perpetrate terrorism. That hell of it is, this makes us no safer than if we did nothing at all.

Every journalist who has visited Gitmo has seen the same thing, reasonable treatment of terrorists. And lest anyone think the keepers at Gitmo simply hide their aberrant behavior while journalists are there, it must be noted that journalists are always there. It would be quite impossible to hide what Democrats continue to claim is torture at Gitmo.

With all that in mind, I present Cox & Forkum’s picture of interrogation at Gitmo as Dick Durbin thinks it should be.

Another Cox & Forkum cartoon for your enjoyment. This one superbly represents Senator Kerry’s latest gaff and the resulting Democrat response. He has visions of another presidential run in ‘08 but seriously doubt that he’ll make it past the first couple of primaries if that far. Democrats may be crazy but they aren’t entirely stupid, although making Howard Dean DNC head makes one wonder.
