Comment Policy

I encourage comments and open discussion on this blog.  I don’t insist on agreement with the positions I take here.  Generally speaking, if you want to agree, disagree or otherwise add to what has been said here, by all means feel free to do so.  There are, however, some rules you must observe if you want to contribute.

• You must register to comment.
• All comments on this blog become my property.  If you don’t agree to that, don’t post a comment.
• I reserve the right to edit or delete any comment if, in my opinion, it is necessary.

DO NOT:

• Engage in personal attacks.  Stick to the arguments presented, not the personality of the presenter. An ad hominem is not an argument and it makes you look like you have no argument.
• Provide a fake e-mail address.  No one but me will see it and I need to be able to contact you if there is a problem with a post.
• Provide a URL to a non-weblog. If you don’t have a weblog or don’t want to link to it, please leave it blank.
• Spam the comments.
• Use vulgar and offensive language.  I want to reach a broad audience and I don’t want people put off by the language they find here.  Sometimes strong language may be appropriate based on the subject matter but I am the final arbiter.  If in doubt, please don’t do it.  For certain the “F” word is banned.

Trackbacks:

• If you mention a post from this blog in your blog I welcome a trackback.
• If you send trackbacks from blog posts that do not reference a post in this blog, it will be deleted.
• I pay attention to trackbacks.

Violation of this policy may mean any of the following:

• I may edit or deletee your comments.
• I may block your attempts to comment in the future.
• I may contact your Internet service provider
