As my domain name implies, my name is Ron. I am 52 years old and very happily married for 31 years.  I have two children, both married. I have degrees in political science and religion and I am  a committed Christian who is working to live that out in daily life. I am also legally blind.

This used to be a political blog but I have changed directions.  I used to believe that real answers could be found in political philosophy.  While I still believe political philosophy matters, I know it can’t solve our problems.

The only answer to our problems, both individually and as a community is being in a right relationship with God and living in dependence upon Him.  When that happens, I believe political philosophy will work itself out.

Note: I do not endeavor to use gender neutral language.  If this offends you, I’m sorry.  I just don’t feel the need to go down that road for people who are looking for a reason to be offended.  You’re going to be offended no matter what I do.  If you are not looking for reasons to be offended, you aren’t likely to be offended by non-gender neutral language.
