Obama Derangement Syndrome
19 February 2008It seems there is an ever increasing number of derangement syndromes these days. From Bush Derangement Syndrome to Clinton Derangement Syndrome, the list continues to grow. I submit yet another derangement syndrome, Obama Derangement Syndrome. But this one is different. In fact, it is the polar opposite of its name sakes.
Rather than causing irrational hatred, Obama Derangement Syndrome causes irrational adoration. Really, can there be any other explanation? Barack Obama has said virtually nothing of substance since the start of the presidential campaigns. Indeed, his book says very little as well. Obama has a special talent for pontificating at length, completely inspiring his audience while never actually saying anything. It is a marvel to behold!
Barack Obama can spout platitudes and generalities with such aplomb that he makes Chris Matthews’ leg tingle. Women want him. Men fawn over him. Following a Democrat focus group on FOX News, Sean Hannity asked pollster Frank Luntz to find out if Obama supporters could name anything he had done. Not one could do so, yet all remained steadfast in their adoration.
Apparently reason has little or nothing to do with it. Barack Obama is simply inspiring in his own right. Supporters by the droves simply believe he will do great things without him ever actually stating what he will do. He talks about change all the time but he never defines what kind of change. That doesn’t matter. They love him.
I’ve never in my life seen anything like this Obama Derangement Syndrome. Watching Obama fill stadiums has lead me to believe that the man is simply unstoppable. I’m convinced that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States. Hillary Clinton has no chance of defeating him in the Democrat primaries and there is even less chance John McCain can stop him in November. While Obama seems to exude personality, poise and charisma, McCain is just a stogy old man who can’t stop talking about his time in the Hanoi Hilton.
Folks, the elections are now a mere formality. Barack Obama cannot be stopped. And since in reality Obama makes Hillary Clinton look like a conservative, it is all the more important that we do everything in our power to elect conservatives to the House and Senate. If we don’t this country may not recover in our life times, if at all.

Did you hear the clip of Susan Sarandon? Her candidate John Edwards is out, so she is now actively supporting Obama. And, come to find out, she’s very excited to find out what he stands for.

That’s no surprise. Sarandon is as liberal as they come. She’s up there with Barbra Streisand.

it was the irony of supporting Obama, and looking forward to knowing what she stands for. Normally, it’s the other way around.
