Passed the 5000 Mark
2 February 2007Well I am mystified. I’ve been watching my numbers crawl up wondering when I’d finally hit 5000 visitors. I wasn’t expecting it for another week or two. Then I check today and I’m up to 5074! I have no idea what happened. According to StatCounter I had 125 visitors Wednesday, 175 Thursday and 42 today. But when I look at where they came from, there is little information there. There are a bunch of hits with no referring link but not enough to make up for all that traffic.
There is one possibility. A couple of days ago I added Snap Previews to my site. It took me until this evening to actually make it work but my blog was registered. All I can figure is that their spider or something caused all those hits. If so, that’s kind of disappointing. I was looking forward to blogging about my 5000th visitor and now I won’t even know. I guess I’ll just have to wait for 10,000! I hope my few regular readers will stick with me that long.
